Prince Edward County

In this episode, Ian steps onto “the taste trail” to discover a region many foodies consider the culinary destination in Ontario right now. He visits a cheese-making company with over 100 years of history. He loads up his picnic basket at some of the best little shops in the region. And he takes a trip to a local vineyard to find that perfect bottle.

Part 1:  A history of flavour

Naturally, Ian’s journey through Prince Edward County begins with a search for delicious cheese. The Black River Cheese Company offers naturally aged cheeses that are also vegetarian-friendly.

Their selection has grown quite a bit since they produced their first curds in 1901. Come by and sample their sumptuous selection.
